Our vision at Shine Church is to train and equip the next generation of believers to make disciples of Jesus Christ through the local church.
We are committed to ministering to the heart of God through prayer, praise and worship because we believe that the Presence of the Holy Spirit transforms lives.
Shine Church was born at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020 and founded by Pastors Phil and Lindsey Novoa in Austin, Texas. We believe that we are living in an unconventional time that requires the local church to rise up like never before to fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus Christ - to go and make disciples of all nations.
To fulfill this, we believe in the importance of equipping believers through intentional teaching-style sermons that break down the Word of God in a tangible and powerful way that empowers the local church to spread the Gospel to all corners of the earth. Our church is a global community made up of people from different nationalities - from Mexico to Australia to the Philippines. We have been transformed by the love of Jesus and are committed to giving others the opportunity to experience that same transformation.

MEET OUR PASTORS.
PS PHIL + LINDSEY NOVOA
Pastor Phil has a heart to see a generation rise up into their true calling as Disciples of Jesus. Many years ago, during a worship moment, he felt in his Spirit that God wanted him to return to his home state of Texas to “Unbuckle the Bible Belt,” a call that now shapes his approach to ministry. Pastor Phil is committed to helping believers break free of cyclical, religious mindsets and empowering them to step into a life led by the Holy Spirit and filled with God’s unmatched power. Under his leadership, Shine will reach the lost, make disciples, and move in power, much as the church in the book of Acts did and just as Jesus commissioned his followers to do.
Pastor Lindsey is committed to leading Shine
church towards new levels of faith and deeper levels of community. She is an advocate for developing healthy believers who have deep, intimate and personal relationships with God. Pastor Lindsey also leads the Shine Worship Crew where she helps usher in an atmosphere of breakthrough and faith, positioning the church for an encounter with God. She identifies with the story of the Prodigal Son, as her testimony involves her returning to the Lord and it has stirred a deep passion in her to reach those that have wandered away from faith.

The Bible is
God's Word.
We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. It is accurate, authoritative and applicable to our everyday lives.
God is Creator
of all things.
We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy.
Sin separates us from God.
We believe that sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives.
Lord Jesus Christ can reconcile us.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ as both God and man is the only One who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove His victory and empower us for life.
Repenting of sins = forgiveness.
We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and the ‘new birth’ we must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and submit to His will for our lives.
Baptism by water and Spirit.
We believe that in order to live the holy and fruitful lives that God intends for us, we need to be baptized in water and be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit enables us to use spiritual gifts, including speaking in tongues.
Gathering of Saints.
We believe in the power and significance of the Church and the necessity of believers to meet regularly together for fellowship, prayer and the ‘breaking of bread’.
Individually equipped.
We believe that God has individually equipped us so that we can successfully achieve His purpose for our lives which is to worship God, fulfil our role in the Church and serve the community in which we live.
OUR BELIEFS.
Heal and transform.
We believe that God wants to heal and transform us so that we can live healthy and blessed lives in order to help others more effectively.
Saying Yes to Jesus Christ.
We believe that our eternal destination of either Heaven or hell is determined by our response to the Lord Jesus Christ.

back.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised.
